Kubernetes Platform Operator

Running Kubernetes at scale requires many interconnected services. A Platform Operator bundles these into a single, versioned, repeatable, and automated system. Kubernetes operators are software extentions that make use of Kubernetes APIs to extend the behavior of the cluster without changing the Kubernetes code.

The Kubernetes Platform Operator is a pattern-based controller that automates the provisioning, lifecycle management, and configuration of an entire Kubernetes-based platform. Instead of managing individual components manually (e.g., networking, storage, monitoring, custom controllers, platform services), the operator provides a single declarative interface (usually via Custom Resource Definitions) through which the entire platform stack is defined.

Refer to Platform Operator API for more details about the PAS Platform Operator and the complete API reference for its resources.
