Administrating Process Mining

Accessing the Process Mining Administration

This chapter explains how to administrate the settings of the PAS component Process Mining.

Important Prerequisites

  • Only users with profile analytics_admin are able to use the Process Mining view in the User Management.

  • With PAS 22.1, the collector scheduler has been disabled by default in the analytics-collector-service.
    If you want to collect data from any service you have to enable the scheduler first:

  1. Open the service details in the PAS Administration.

  2. Go to tab Configuration and unlock it.

  3. Set variable enable to true.

  • Please note that collecting logs is currently only supported for integration (Bridge) deployment and Kubernetes (see below).

To access the Process Mining administration, click on the user management tile in the Scheer PAS Portal:

You can access two different views in the user management:

  • The user list

  • The process list (administration view for Process Mining)

To navigate between the two views, use the arrows on top left. The user list is the default view:

Overview on the Process Mining Administration Start Page

The Process Mining administration page consists of four sections:

Navigation Header: The navigation header gives you access to the user preferences, to the PAS chatbot, and it also supports you to navigate through the user management pages.

Filter: Use the filter to search the content displayed below.

(3)

Content Area: Shows the content of the selected menu option.

(4)

Sidebar: Use the sidebar to select one of the menu options.

In the Process Mining view, the corresponding menu items are displayed in the sidebar:

Processes

Please note that tab Services is available on Docker setups only.

Page Working With the User Management explains the basic functionalities such as filtering and sorting content which is also applicable to the contents of the Process Mining administration pages.

In the header, you can use the following features:

Use the portal menu to switch back to another PAS component or the PAS Portal:

Use this option to open the PAS chatbot. Refer to Ask the PAS Chatbot! for more information.

Click the user name to open the user menu that gives you access to the following options:

  • User Preferences: Open the user preferences to set another display language for the PAS user interface or to change your password.

  • Documentation: Gives you direct access to our online documentation.

  • Tutorials: Forwards you to our online tutorials.

  • Logout: Use this option to logout from the PAS platform.

Refer to Managing the User Preferences in our Getting Started Guide for details.
