Connectors

BPMN defines a set of arrows to connect the different process elements as well as the process themselves. They are used to:

• Describe the order in which different steps are to be executed

• Associate additional information such as comments

• Depict how messages are to be exchanged between different swimlanes

Connectors have no UML representation as they are not yet relevant for the execution of the process.
