PAS 24.2 Release Notes

PAS 24.2 (26.09.2024)

We are currently refactoring our persistent state implementation to make the implementation Kubernetes ready. With PAS 25.0, we will ship a Runtime version that does not allow anymore to use the same persistent state database schema for multiple, independent services.

Before using such a Runtime version, you need to migrate your services to dedicated database schemes. Our release notes contain a detailed description of the procedure.
Our hint: Do not shelve this migration but take care as soon as possible.

This release comes with the new API Management UI only. The legacy UI has been deprecated. Links to the old UI, e.g. from bookmarks, will be redirected to the start page of the new UI.

New Features

Meet the new PAS Chatbot!

You have got a question about Scheer PAS, the PAS chatbot has the answer. The chatbot is integrated to the header bar and can be accessed from anywhere within PAS. You can ask it anything about PAS, and get answers within your context, based on our documentation pages.

Administration

  • Logging configuration made easy on Kubernetes
A new configuration UI for the xUML service logging makes it easy to set the appropriate log level to your deployed service.

Designer

  • Use the new Java xLib DevKit to add Java implementation to your xUML service
The Designer is ready for Java! Using the new Java xLib DevKit, you can add your own new or existing Java implementations to your xUML service, encapsulated in a library.

  • Call xUML operations from your JavaScript implementation
We lifted a limitation: Designer JavaScript operations are now able to call other xUML operations from your service implementation.
