This chapter provides an overview of how to work with the Scheer PAS Business Modeler and introduces the core concepts required to create, maintain, and manage business models.

It explains fundamental modeling concepts such as objects, attributes, assignments, definitions, and occurrences, as well as how these elements are used and managed within models. The chapter also describes key panels and views that support modeling activities, including attribute handling, object management, model-object properties, and validation.

In addition, the chapter outlines how users interact with models on the canvas, including creating and editing content, using templates, applying fast draw functionality, and working with model toolbars. Topics such as permissions, language handling, model comparison, object reuse, as well as import and export of models and data, are introduced to support consistent and collaborative modeling.
