AI Tutorials

Prerequisites

The AI agent feature is only available in a Kubernetes setup.
To use PAS AI agents, you need an account with an AI service provider that is not provided by Scheer PAS. Currently, OpenAI and Mistral are supported as providers. You can also use other LLMs if they are hosted by Microsoft Foundry.

Working With the AI Tutorial

By our step-by-step AI tutorial, you can quickly learn how to create, test, and implement an AI agent within a Designer process. Follow the instructions to build your first executable application with an AI agent.

For those interested in detailed knowledge, we have integrated two types of hints:

  • Links to releated pages in the official Designer guide, e.g.: Refer to Using AI Agents in the Designer Guide for more information.

  • Good to Know infoboxes with background information about the concept of the introduced Designer functionality. Click on the box to expand its content.

    Example:

Good to Know: What is Scheer PAS Designer?

Scheer PAS Designer is the platform's modeling tool for digitization. The easy-to-use, innovative and model-based tool allows you to create processes in BPMN 2.0 format via a graphical user interface. At the same time you can realize the technical implementation into UML by using supplied or self-created libraries. You can use the finished models without further programming as xUML microservices in containers. The use of the Designer also boosts the work of fusion teams by allowing key users, process managers and IT responsibles to work simultaneously on the same process.

In this tutorial, we will show

  • how to create and configure an AI agent in the Designer

  • how to write a useful prompt and test your AI agent

  • how to integrate your AI agent into a Designer process

  • how to deploy and test your application

The AI tutorial requires some basic knowledge of how to use the Designer. We recommend our Designer Tutorials to familiarize yourself with the basic functions of the Designer.
