Function

The EPC element System displays foreign systems (for example a server or a CRM system etc.) integrated into the business process. Reasons for the integration of a system into the EPC may for example be the delivery of process-relevant data. Oftentimes this element has the solely descriptive purpose to display the use of a foreign system in a process.

Example

In the ACME Procurement process, the purchasing department shall receive the ability to transfer orders directly to the in-house SAP ERP system. The EPC element System displays that ACME Corp. has an SAP ERP system at their disposal and that it will be involved in the realization of the purchase order process:

Name

Name of the element within modeling.

ID ( PAS 19.2 )

The read-only field contains the model ID of the element. Designers can use the ID for example in the search to link the element in other models.

Description

A commentary field for the modeler. Its content is invisible to users and its sole purpose is internal documentation.

Hashtags

Possibility to insert your own key terms . The leading hashtag sign # (hash) will be inserted automatically.

URL

In this field you have to enter the URL of the integration platform used to enable the data exchange with the system.


URL (Internal)

The content of this field is considered exclusively by the element SAP Restifier. Both URLs need to be entered if the restifier is situated in the client environment!

Generally, the internal URL for the SAP restifier is http://0.0.0.0:3000/
