Permissions Overview

Permissions give you an option to add or remove the user permissions to a folder or a model.

There are two types of permissions:

  1. User with  Write permissions can edit, remove, or add a new folder/model.
  2. User with  Read permissions can only view a folder structure and models in that folder.

When you have read permissions, you can see model, but when you go to edit a model, you can only see Overview panel and Attribute panel, and you cannot change anything about that model.

Adding Permissions

When you right click on the folder and select the Permissions, a new pop-up window will open.

On the new window you can see current permissions for that folder and if you have write permissions, you can add or edit user permissions.

If you want to add permissions to a new user, just type the name of the user in the text box, and select Write or Read.

Note that if you give a user Write permissions to the folder, that user can delete your permissions, so be cautious.

When you finish all of the steps above, just click on the icon Add, and after that just click Save. This will add new permissions to the user you selected in the text box.
