Syntax
set deletedObject = aMap.removeMapValue(aKey)
SemanticsRemove the object from map aMap that is identified by akey.
SubstitutablesdeletedObjectoptional: The map entry identified by aKey that is deleted. 
aMap

An object of type Map.

aKeyKey value identifying the map entry.
Examples
hashMap.removeMapValue("John Snow");
address is an object of type Address.

Clear an Entire Map

There is no operation to clear an entire map, but this goal can easily be achieved by two action script statements.

local entries = hashMap.getMapEntries();
apply hashMap.removeMapValue(element.key) to entries;
