The Explorer tab is the most important window of the Business Modeler. In this tab you can see databases, folders, models and object definitions you have read or write permissions for. The Explorer tab has the following parts that are interconnected:
|
This is the first window that appears after login. It presents all databases that are currently active. You can only create a folder directly in a database. |
The screenshot shows a folder structure. In the selected folder you can create a model or a new folder. |
Models must be created within the folder. Models cannot be created directly in a database. The different types of models are explained on page Model Processes. |
By selecting a Model in the Structure bar a preview of the selected model will appear within the Description bar in addition to the listed objects. |
If you create Status attribute for a model and select a status, that model will have a status icon in Explorer tab. The status icon varies depending on which status is selected. Status of a model can be: approved, in approval process, in progress or not approved.
|
You can find Object definitions within the Structure bar. Object definitions are only visible in the Structure bar if you click on the checkbox next to the Show objects label in the lower left corner of the screen. |
