The Designer constantly validates the BPMN process and the implemented execution. The validation results are displayed in the Validation panel.
So the panel supports you during modelling by displaying notes for invalid actions on both panes giving you advice on how to fix the errors.

You cannot deploy and start a process service that still has validation errors. You need to resolve them first. |

- ... the affected element is selected on the diagram pane.

Sometimes you want to share a validation message with another developer. Highlight the displayed message (or the part you want to share) with mouse over or a double click. Copy the highlighted content to your clipboard with CTRL+C. Use CTRL+V to paste it, e.g. to an email or a chat room. |
