convertToBoolean() Operation


Syntax


set aBoolean = aString.convertToBoolean()
set aBoolean = convertToBoolean(LITERAL)


Semantics

convertToBoolean() returns true if the string true is passed as parameter. false is returned for all other values. Alternatively, the figures 0 for false or 1 for true can be used as parameters.
If the conversion is not possible, an error message is raised (for instance: NULL strings).

Can be any variable or object attribute having the type String.

String literal.
